The long-running cartoon series has just scored an Emmy award for Outstanding Animated Series this year. This is its second Emmy since winning the honor in 2014. This may have been enough to convince Fox to start marketing a "Bob's Burgers" movie this early on, which will be produced by Fox Animation according to Deadline.

Show creator Loren Bouchard is both happy and intimidated by the prospect. "We're thrilled to be invited to bring Bob's Burgers to the big screen," she said.

"We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who've never seen the show," Bouchard added, noting how it's a tricky balance to get right.

It's still three years until "Bob's Burgers" the movie goes out to theaters, but Bouchard is already on overdrive. She then proceeded to up the stakes all by herself.

"We also know it has to fill every inch of the screen with the colors and the sounds and the ever so slightly greasy texture of the world of Bob's – but most of all it has to take our characters on an epic adventure. In other words, it has to be the best movie ever made. But no pressure, right?!" she said, perhaps already noting down all the movie awards she felt the team have to aim for in 2020.

The show has been airing on Fox since 2011, and it follows the life of the Belcher family as they live alongside their friends and some people they may not be that friendly with. Bob Belcher (H. Jon Benjamin) runs the restaurant joint he named after himself, alongside his wife Linda (John Roberts) and their three kids.

There's no official title being rolled around as of this time, although Bouchard seems to be attached to one centered on horses. More details are expected to come in the coming years until the movie launches in July 2020.
