'BoJack Horseman' Season 5 News: Netflix Confirms Series Will Return for Another Installment
For months, the future of the show "BoJack Horseman" was up in the air. Since the fourth season of the series was released on Netflix earlier this month, fans have been wondering if the show will be renewed for another installment. Several days ago, Netflix put an end to speculations and confirmed that the series will return for a fifth season.
The giant streaming site made the official announcement on Sept. 21 via a video posted on its social media accounts. In the said video, Netflix confirmed that it had ordered a fifth season of "BoJack Horseman," which stars Will Arnett as the former star of a 1990s show.
Netflix's announcement came two weeks after the season 4 premiere, in which all the 12 episodes of the installment were made available on the streaming site last Sept. 8. Each of the episodes lasts for half an hour and offers a mind-expanding experience to viewers.
So far, one of the most memorable moments on the show was BoJack's roommates's revelation that he was asexual. Aaron Paul's Todd was one of the highlights of season 4, as he explored his evolving sexual identity.
"BoJack Horseman" was created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg, and its fourth installment followed the titular character as well as Amy Sedaris' Princess Carolyn as she began to consider starting a family with BoJack. However, troubles arose as the latter admitted having family problems of his own. The current season also found Diane Nguyen (Alison Brie) and Mr. Peanutbutter's (Paul F. Tompkins) marriage falling apart. According to reports, their relationship is one of the focuses of the coming season.
Executive produced by Bob-Waksberg, Steven A. Cohen and Noel Bright alongside Arnett and Paul, "BoJack Horseman" is a Tornante Production and is designed by renowned graphic artist Lisa Hanawalt.
Netflix has yet to announce when season 5 will premiere.
