Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation at California High School

Authorities in San Clemente, Calif., have evacuated a high school due to a bomb threat made on the first day of school. Officials were also searching the home of a naval officer who failed to report to duty at a near-by base Wednesday morning.

San Clemente High School's 3,200 students were moved to the football field as Orange County Sheriff's officials tried to evaluate the threat, reports Los Angeles television station KTLA.

Officials at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base reportedly notified authorities after a note was found on the naval base that indicated that there were bombs planted at the school.
