Bon Jovi's Daughter Overdose on Heroin the 'Worst Phone Call Ever,' Singer Tells Katie Couric
Jon Bon Jovi has spoken about his daughter and her overdose on heroin, saying that it was the "worst phone call ever" in a recent interview with TV host Katie Couric.
Speaking to Couric about the incident that took place about four months ago, the rock star described his feelings when the horrific news was broken to him.
The singer's daughter overdosed on heroin in her dorm room at college, putting her life in danger.
Bon Jovi has said that he was not even aware that his daughter took drugs, and that he was caught by surprise by the entire incident.
He also admitted that he feels partially responsible for his daughter's drug issue, as being his daughter, with all the spotlight placed on him, had put a lot of pressure on her as well, even more than normal kids.
The "Living on a Prayer" singer also gave an update on his daughter's condition, saying that she was doing much better now, and that she was "healthy." He explained that his family is now looking to move beyond the episode and look forward to the future with greater optimism.
The news also comes as reports emerge that Bon Jovi has put his home up for sale for $42 million. The singer is said to be selling his penthouse apartment in New York City's SoHo area, and is looking to make a massive profit from the property. He reportedly purchased the property for just $24 million in 2007, and in just six years the valuation of the property is said to have almost doubled to the $42 million figure.
The SoHo apartment is about 7,500 square foot, and comes fully furnished with five bedrooms and 5.5 baths.
The duplex is also said to have 11 foot ceilings as well as three terraces to ensure the owner gets the perfect views of the Manhattan skyline.
