'Boruto: Naruto The Movie' slated for October 10 release in the US
Following its largely successful debut in Japanese theaters, "Boruto: Naruto The Movie" is finally hitting a selection of U.S. theaters on October 10.
The movie that landed on top of box office records in Japan — raking in 680 million yen (approximately $5.64 million) in just a matter of three days — has finally obtained its U.S. debut date that many fans have been waiting for.
According to iDigital Times, the movie has slammed the previous Naruto movie by a whopping 115.1 percent record.

Masashi Kishimoto, the original Naruto manga creator, has been credited for the original story, script, and character designs. He is also the chief production supervisor, while Hiroyuki Yamashita directed the film. For the final script, Ukyo Kodachi collaborated with Kishimoto to come up with an output that claimed the hearts of Japanese fans.
The movie's synopsis reads:
"With Naruto as the Seventh Hokage, Hidden Leaf Village is planning to host the Chunin Exams to train new shinobi from the village and from five of their allied villages. Among the entrants are Sasuke's daughter, Sarada, who adores Naruto, Mitsuki, an exceptionally talented yet mysterious shinobi... And Boruto, Naruto's son who shows great potential, but despises his father."
While Boruto continues to harbor anger toward his father, part of the synopsis suggests that Naruto may be put in the face of danger and a rescue team may be created to help save him.
"An inconceivable foe lies in wait as Sasuke, the Five Kage and Boruto with a determination of steel, charge into another dimension!"
Reports state that the movie is the entire franchise's epilogue as it focuses on the lives of Naruto and Sasuke's children. Tension is expected to heighten between father and son, as Boruto decides to train under the expertise of Sasuke, Naruto's lifetime rival.
Meanwhile, a new character is said to be introduced in the form of Mitsuki, as some reports suggest that his backstory could be explained in the movie, leading to his connections to Orochimaru.
