It's a battle in the East.

It's a battle between two aspiring teams in the East as the Boston Celtics host the Atlanta Hawks at the TD Garden in the regular season of the National Basketball Association.

The match is on December 18, 2015 at 7:30 PM ET.

Both teams are trying to get big wins as this is also their third of four total meetings this regular season so expect this evenly matched battle unfold in Boston.

At the moment, the Hawks are fourth in the Southeast Division with a 15-12 record. They are 1.5 games behind the Miami Heat who are leading the group, and the Charlotte Hornets and Orlando Magic are battling with the Hawks to see who can come in second.

Meanwhile, the Celtics are at 14-12 and only 1.5 games behind Atlantic Division leaders the Toronto Raptors.

In their first meeting of the season, the Celtics won at home after Amir Johnson had a spectacular game with 17 points and eight rebounds for the Celtics.

Playing at home, Boston fought off a vicious run by the Hawks to take the win – with the Celtics going on a 10-0 run late in the contest to hold off the surging Hawks 106-93.

In the losing effort, Al Horford scored 13 points, grabbed six rebounds and picked up eight assists for the Hawks.

They would again battle at the Philips Arena where the Hawks got their revenge in a dominating 121-97 victory.

With the loss in their head, Atlanta were focused and led throughout the contest, capping their performance off with a 40-point fourth quarter en route to the victory.

Paul Millsap scored 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the win, while Avery Bradley had 25 points for the Celtics but only managed to dish out two assists in the defeat.
