Boyfriend charged of murdering Morgan Freeman's granddaughter
Lamar Davenport has been charged with second-degree murder for the death of E'Dena Hines, Morgan Freeman's granddaughter of his first wife.
In what could have been an exorcism, Hines, 33, was stabbed to death Sunday morning, as multiple witnesses told news outlets that Davenport seemed to have been "exorcising Hines' demons."
At around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Hines was found lying just outside of her New York City home. The New York Police Department confirmed to People that Hines had suffered multiple stab wounds to her torso.

Davenport, 30, was later taken into custody at the scene, while Hines was rushed to Harlem Hospital where she was pronounced dead. According to the local officials, Davenport and Hines were in a relationship.
A witness told CBS News that he overheard Hines and Davenport having a tense discussion from his apartment window. The witness said the couple seemed to be fighting about an hour before Hines' body was discovered. Davenport seemed to be performing an exorcism and was heard yelling things like "Devil, be gone," the witness added.
Other witnesses also told Newsday that Davenport was indeed trying to perform an exorcism to cast out his girlfriend's "demons."
Freeman aired his side on the horrifying event and reflected on his step-granddaughter's life, saying, "The world will never know her artistry, talent, and how much she had to offer. Her friends and family were fortunate enough to have known what she meant as a person. Her star will continue to shine bright in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers. May she rest in peace."
The famous actor also took to Facebook and thanked all the people who showed their "outpouring love and support" to the family after the "tragic and senseless passing of [my] granddaughter Edena Hines."
Police have not confirmed if Davenport has an attorney, while Hines' immediate family have not provided an official statement regarding the incident.
