Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie News: Pitt Makes Rare Public Appearance, Looks Years Younger

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still separated, and for the most part, the former has kept public appearances to the barest minimum. It was a surprising turn, then, for everyone when the actor showed up at the 2017 LACMA Art and Film Gala on Sunday, Nov. 5.

What's more is that the 53-year old Hollywood A-lister looked more like his old self in a sharp black Gucci suit and a colorful tie, as the Daily Mail noted. The actor sported a clean-shaved look and shorter hair, a far cry from his usual look since his separation from his wife in September of 2016.

The other change is that his hands remained empty that night. Even with plenty of drinks for everyone, Pitt stood by his new habit of remaining sober. He's come a long way from the way he described himself in an earlier interview with GQ.

"But me, personally, I can't remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn't boozing or had a spliff, or something," he said back then.

"I was boozing too much. It's just become a problem. And I'm really happy it's been half a year now, which is bittersweet, but I've got my feelings in my fingertips again," he added.

His new appearance reportedly came as a shock to his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, according to rumor site Celeb Dirty Laundry. As the piece reported, the actress simply did not expect Pitt to be back to his old self so soon, and that the divorce might have actually worked out wonders for the actor.

It's a claim that has since been shot down by fake news spotter Gossip Cop. The claim that Jolie was "shocked" by Pitt's new, clean look at the weekend Gala in Los Angeles was "all made up," according to their report.

Their sources assured fans that Jolie has not commented on her ex-husband's recent public appearance, as of this time.
