The Hollywood couple, who share six children, took time out from parental duties to catch up after spending some time apart. Pitt, 50, has been filming his wartime movie "Fury" in London in recent months, while Jolie, 38, relocated to Sydney last year to direct her second feature film "Unbroken."
The pair, who were photographed walking hand-in-hand, dined at the Shipwreck Bar & Grill in Airlie Beach. Jolie wore head-to-to black paired with gold heels while Pitt opted for a cream-colored shirt, pants and combat boots, according to Daily Mail UK.
In December, the actor celebrated his milestone birthday Down Under; he continues to travel between the U.S. and Australia in a bid to travel work and family time. Jolie is believed to have rented a luxury estate in Sydney for her extended stay, it reportedly belongs to MotoGP champ Mick Doohan.
"They're used to celebrating wherever they're working," an insider told Us magazine of Pitt's birthday celebrations.
Jolie and Pitt were also photographed accompanying their brood Maddox, 12, Pax, 10, Zahara, 8, Shiloh, 7, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 5, on a trip to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary in Queensland.
Jolie, who underwent a preventive double mastectomy in February, has been intent on spending quality time with her children in between her hectic work schedule. On Nov. 16 she and Pitt took Maddox to the 5th Annual Governors Ball.
"Mad, I'm not gonna cry. I promise, and I won't embarrass you," Jolie told the crowd while accepting the Humanitarian Award. "You and your brothers and your sisters are my happiness. And there is never a greater honor in this world than being your mom."
Jolie and Pitt got engaged in 2012, but they have yet to set a wedding date.
