Brad Pitt Consoles Suicidal Actor: 'Every Failure Can Lead to Success' (VIDEO)
Suicide Fan Receives Comfort From Hollywood Star at 'Moneyball' Preview
Brad Pitt has turned from acting to become a crisis counselor, after comforting a suicidal fan recently during a Q&A session following a screening of his new film “Moneyball.”
The incident took place at the Cary Grant Theatre in Culver City, California at the weekend. During the Q&A session a struggling actor stood up to talk to Pitt, as well as his co-star Jonah Hill, in front of a shocked audience.
He admitted to Pitt that he had been considering suicide on his way to the event. Pitt immediately put on his counseling hat, replying: “Look man, life is up and down. It’s a vicious cycle, but you have to go through that and deal with that.”
He added: “You can be down, but then you come back up again, and every failure can lead to success.”
The man seemed to take Pitt’s words to heart, and followed up the Hollywood actor’s speech by saying that the movie “Moneyball” had since given him “a renewed sense of hope.”
