Brad Pitt Reconnects With Ex-Wife Jennifer Aniston Thru Texting

Amid his split from wife Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt is reportedly keeping in touch with his ex, Jennifer Aniston. Before Pitt and Jolie got together, Pitt and Aniston had been known as the golden couple of Hollywood.

In 2005, Pitt and Aniston divorced after five years of being together. Back then, Jolie, who co-starred Pitt in the 2005 film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," was rumored to be the reason behind their widely discussed split.

Shortly after Pitt and Aniston's divorce, Pitt started to date Jolie. Now that they have already split, the "Ocean's Eleven" actor is reportedly trying to reconnect with his ex-wife through texting.

According to reports, it all started when Pitt jumped through hoops to track down Aniston's mobile number through their mutual contacts so he could greet her on her birthday last Feb. 11.

A source told US Weekly that since Pitt texted Aniston to wish her a happy birthday, the two have started to forget about their past issues and be friends again. The source revealed that since the ex-couple started talking again, their messages have taken a more serious turn.

Apparently, Aniston is now Pitt's confidant to whom he tells all his feelings about his ongoing divorce battle with Jolie. Jolie and Pitt are also currently involved in custody negotiations as they try to reach an agreement over the custody of their six children.

"Brad has confided in Jen. Brad told her he's having a hard time with his split and they exchanged a few texts reminiscing about the past," said the source.

Today, Aniston is happily married to Justin Theroux. They started dating in 2011 and got married in 2015. The two were recently spotted together at the Oscars, where Aniston was one of the presenters. The source said Theroux is aware that Aniston is texting Pitt but he understands that his wife is simply trying to be a friend to her ex-husband.
