Brazilian F1 Grand Prix 2015 Preview: Lewis Hamilton sets record time in F1 practice
Three-time world champion Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton clocked in the fastest time in practice for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
According to a report by The Guardian, the 30-year old driver for the Mercedes AMG Petronas team set the fastest time with one minute and 13.543 seconds at practice at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The report adds that Hamilton surpassed last year's record-setter Nico Rosberg by half a second.

"Yet the Briton, who sealed his third Formula One championship with three races to spare in Austin last month, led the way at the Interlagos track on Friday. He was the best part of half a second up on Rosberg, the winner here last year who is going for his fifth consecutive pole," the report reads.
Hamilton's performance during practice overshadowed the minor accident he was involved on Monday. In a report by CNN, the "exhausted" motorsports superstar crashed his car onto a stationary vehicle in Monaco.
Hamilton did defend himself and aired his side of the story through an Instagram post.
"I've not been well with a fever but I also had a road accident in Monaco on Monday night," Hamilton wrote. "Nobody was hurt, which is the most important thing. I made very light contact with a stationary vehicle."
"Talking with the team and my doctor, we decided together that it was best for me to rest at home and leave a day later," he adds.
Another hopeful for this year's Brazilian Grand Prix is McLaren's Jenson Button, who last tasted victory in 2012. The 35-year old British racer is optimistic about their chances in the coming season, despite a subpar showing this year.
Button clocked in as the 13th fastest during practice, just two seconds slower than Hamilton.
The actual race of the 2015 Brazilian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, November 15th, at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace in Sao Paulo.
