'Breaking Bad' Spinoff: Fans Rejoice Over News of New AMC Show "Better Call Saul"
Much to the delight of fans, AMC is green lighting a "Breaking Bad" spinoff that will revolve around Walter White's seedy lawyer Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk.
The network revealed that the "Breaking Bad" spinoff will be a prequel and will be drawn up by "Breaking Bad" maestro Vince Gilligan.
Reports indicate that the show, tentatively called "Better call Saul," has been in development for months and will be the "evolution of the popular Saul Goodman character before he ever became Walter White's lawyer."

Saul Goodman made his first appearance in season two of the AMC hit drama series when he was hired by Walt and Jesse (Aaron Paul) after Badger (Matt L. Jones) was caught by the DEA.
Back in July during the TCA Summer Press Tour, Gilligan said it was his "fervent wish" that the spinoff get off the ground.
"It's for powers bigger than me to figure out if it can come to fruition, but I would very much like it to be the case," Gilligan said. "We're working toward that."
And when asked about his feeling of doing a spinoff Odenkirk revealed that he would jump at the opportunity.
"I would love to do it. I'd do it in a second, because if Vince wrote it, it's going to be awesome," Odenkirk told reporters during the same press tour. "Other than that, for me, the spinoff was just having been on the show. Everything good that's already come for me being on this show is all I'd ever need to be happy."
"Breaking Bad" is currently drawing to a close and the series finale's ending is anybody's guess, episode 14 will air this Sunday on AMC at 9 p.m.
