Britney Spears Makes Grand Entrance in Las Vegas, Singer Prepares for Shows
Britney Spears fans gathered in Las Vegas at the Planet Hollywood Resort as the star made her official arrival ahead of her residency on Tuesday.
A welcoming party got underway as pop princess prepares to kick off her two-year residency show at the Strip Hotel in Sin City.
Over 1,000 fans waited outside when eight black SUVs arrived on the Las Vegas Strip, according to People.com.

Then, Spears arrived in a restored 1958 Chevy Impala convertible as dozens of dancers from her upcoming show performed outside the hotel before a screaming crowd.
The pop superstar appeared to be delighted as she greeted fans and signed autographs in a black mini dress with a bejeweled top.
"This is my city now," she told the crowd. "I can't wait to see you guys opening night."
Spears' show, entitled "Piece of Me" starts on Dec. 27- just in time for New Year's Eve. It includes 48 shows, each 90 minutes long, over the next two years. "Britney: Piece of Me" will see Spears performing her biggest hits as well as songs from her new album Britney Jean.
"I'm going to definitely do the greatest hits, but I'm going to have to put some of my new material in it to keep it fresh," Spears explained while on "GMA" in September.
Meanwhile, Spears is also staying busy in her personal life. The mom of two has recently opened up about her relationship with boyfriend David Lucado.
"I'm in love," the singer told Entertainment Tonight during a taped segment with Rob Marciano. "I like the fact that he's [Lucado] very stubborn and he's stuck in his ways. He's just a simple man. I adore him. He's really funny and he's really passionate. I love the fact that anything he's involved in he's passionate about, and it's contagious."
Furthermore, Lucado, a field researcher for a law firm in Atlanta, has received approval from Spears' family members, including her father Jamie who ran a background check on Lucado before meeting him.
"That is true," Spears conceded of her father's background check. "My dad's a little crazy like that."
