Britney Spears on Boyfriend David Lucado: 'I'm In Love'
Britney Spears is breaking the silence on her boyfriend David Lucado, and even admitted being in love in a recent interview this week.
The pop music princess was first spotted with Lucado who TMZ dubbed an "average guy" back in March just months after Spears broke off her engagement to Jason Trawick.
In a new interview, 31-year-old Spears shared more details about her relationship, which appears stronger than ever today.
"I'm in love," the singer told Entertainment Tonight during a taped segment with Rob Marciano. "I like the fact that [Lucado is] very stubborn and he's stuck in his ways. He's just a simple man. I adore him. He's really funny and he's really passionate. I love the fact that anything he's involved in he's passionate about, and it's contagious."
Furthermore, Lucado has received approval from Spears' family members, including her father Jamie, who ran a background check on Lucado before meeting him.
"That is true," Spears conceded of her father's background check. "My dad's a little crazy like that."
Despite her feelings for Lucado, the "Hold It Against Me" singer admitted being unsure about marriage ir having more children. Spears is already the mother of two children, Sean, 8, and Jayden, 7, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
As for Lucado, he and Spears were reportedly introduced through mutual friends, according to TMZ. Titled a "jack-of-all-trades," Lucado is a field researcher for a law firm in Atlanta and is "definitely not a wealthy guy," according to the gossip website.
Back in February, Lucado and Spears were spotted on the greens at the Sherwood Country Club where Spears lives.
"He's a big golfer and he's teaching her the moves," an insider at TMZ said. "Britney has actually taken a liking to golf and is thinking about becoming a member of the country club."
Meanwhile, Spears is preparing to release her latest album, Britney Jean, as well as a year-long residency doing shows in las Vegas.
Spears' interview with Entertainment Tonight will air on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
