Brittney Palmer and Bryce Harper Deny Dating Rumors
Major League Baseball rookie sensation Bryce Harper is having a pretty good last couple of weeks. He was able to hit his first home run and even was able to take his picture with a Playboy model.
On Tuesday, Harper attended the UFC's On Fuel 3 fights with teammates when he was able to get his picture taken with the ring girl and Playboy model Brittney Palmer.
Soon after the picture was taken it quickly made the rounds on the internet, causing a mini-frenzy on social media. But both Harper and Palmer both separately put to rest any rumors that may have been created in the wake of the picture.
The photo appeared on the sports entertainment and gossip website TerezOwens.com and said that the two were officially "coupled up." When news got back to Palmer, she took to Twitter to end the rumor.
Palmer posted "watch the wording buddy!" to her Twitter account soon after she got wind of what was being said on the internet.
Harper's teammate Edwin Jackson was also ringside at the UFC event on Tuesday and he also got to take a picture with both Harper and Palmer.
Harper was drafted first overall by the Washington Nationals and became the Nationals second consecutive number one overall pick of the Major League Baseball Draft following Stephen Strasburg.
Though Harper was a catcher while he was in high school and junior college, the Nationals have put him in the outfield to prolong his career and to speed up his development. He has been considered one of the most highly sought after prospects in Major League Baseball History.
The Nationals signed Harper to a 7-year contract worth $18.9 million. He made his team debut on April 28, 2012.
Harper explained that he chose the number 34 because, "I always loved Mickey Mantle, three and four equals seven."
