'Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition' Preview: Remastered Edition Launches in April With Bonus Mode Featuring Duke Nukem
The remastered edition of "Bulletstorm" will not be out until next month, but excitement over its release has only continued to rise. Initially released seven years ago for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows, the popular first-person shooter video game will now be made available for PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One as well, thanks to the efforts of Gearbox Software.
The title was most noted for having spiced up its genre with an array of goofy humor and colorful action in a backdrop of visuals that were just as sharp as its language. In its repackaged incarnation, it is still the same game, and players getting into the highly promoted "Full Clip Edition" expecting to get a whole lot of new things will reportedly be disappointed.
While the game does offer more than just the usual revamping of its look and overall resolution, "Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition" will not be coming with a set of new content, but will instead make do with the previously released downloadable contents (DLCs), with six new Echoes maps and two new modes. What it does add to the mix are increased polygon counts along with sharper-looking high-resolution textures and full 4K support.
The playing field becomes even more astounding with stunning vistas showcasing a whole wealth of colors that are both mesmerizingly jaw-dropping and real enough to inspire a more immersive gaming experience.
One disadvantage that players have noted, though, is that the game's lauded sense of humor hasn't improved with the changing times. It does, however, make up for this with a bonus mode that replaces the title's burly protagonist with his own wise-cracking FPS icon, Duke Nukem. This mode reportedly only comes with pre-ordered copies of the game.
"Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition" was recently featured at the recently concluded PAX East 2017 event in Boston, which brought together passionate gamers along with publishers and developers previewing their unreleased games and hardware.
"Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition" officially releases on April 7 for PS4, PC and Xbox One.
