Bungie Restores 'Destiny 2' Servers After Maintenance This Week's Maintenance Update

Bungie finally restored the servers for "Destiny 2" after the game developer took the game offline for maintenance.

The game developer initially announced that the servers for the second installment of the online-only multiplayer first-person shooter game have to be taken offline at 11 a.m. EDT on Tuesday, Oct. 3. This means that "Destiny 2" players had to be barred from playing the game until all the maintenance updates had been completed.

Some of the issues that had been fixed during the maintenance update that was mentioned in the Hotfix Update 1.0.3.1 include the one where players could lose their entrance to the Veteran's Transmat Effect by removing several characters, the issue where clan engrams would allow Trials of the Nine as well as raid rewards with just 10 Power, as well as the issue where the action button on Faction Rallies emblems that display the word "Discard" which should be "Store."

The game developer also added several invisible physics and kill volumes within the Crucible to encourage players to remain inside the intentional playable area in some of the game's specific maps like Eternity, Altar of Flame, Emperor's Respite, Legion's Gulch, Javelin-4, as well as The Dead Cliffs.

The game also come up with new invisible physics to all stairs found in The Dead Cliffs map to let the grenades to bounce properly, as well as adjusted the spawning system values that lessen the frequency of players respawning into the treacherous situations on all the maps featured in "Destiny 2."

The update also came up with a resolution to the glitch where the progress for the Exotic Quest Step titled "His Highness's Seal" was not increasing properly.

Bungie also announced the names of the three factions that won during the first Faction Rallies event titled "Faction Rally: Dead Orbit!" that lasted for the entire week. The winners will be given the chance to purchase the Dead Orbit scout rifle and the Haunted Earth for only 1,000 Glimmer instead of its original price of 50,000 Glimmer.
