For a sizable portion of America, the War of Iraq was not simply wrong because it is a war. It was wrong because we were misled into it, with President George W. Bush lying about weapons of mass destruction to get us there.

Or did he?

New York Times journalist Judith Miller argues differently. She was one of the journalists who was given information about WMDs in Iraq in the early 2000s.

In a video posted to Facebook by the conservative media outlet PragerU, Miller argues that the leftwing narrative of Bush lying is untrue.

"President Bush didn't lie us into it," stated Miller, "the false narrative that he did is itself a lie and deserves to be at last retired."

While noting that there were many mistakes about the Iraq War and its buildup, Miller stated there is a difference between bad intelligence information and willful deception.

Although the debate over whether or not America should have invaded Iraq in 2003 is an old debate, recently it garnered headlines when Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump referenced the "Bush lied" theory.

"I will tell you. They lied. And they said there were weapons of mass destruction and there were none. And they knew there were none. There were no weapons of mass destruction," declared Trump at a GOP debate last month.

Later however, in an interview on the radio program The Mike Gallagher Show, Trump seemed to back away from the debate comments, claiming that the Jeb Bush campaign distorted his words.

"The brother stands up and says, 'My brother kept us safe.' I say, 'Well, what about when the World Trade Center came down?' The worst attack in the history in the United States," claimed Trump.

"Well, I mean, I am just giving the facts. The World Trade Center you understand, Mike, I mean the World Trade Center came down during his reign. And I said what about that? Did it come down during his reign?"

Posted Monday by Prager, the Facebook video has already gotten over 470,000 views, more than 8,000 shares, and well over 5,500 likes.
