'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Preorder Gets Nuk3town DLC Freebie

In the run up to the release of the game "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," some of the game's retailers are offering something extra for those who are willing to preorder the game before it arrives on November 6. One such retailer is GameStop and according to a report in Tech Times, those who buy the game through the retailer's website will be getting a personalization pack called Nuk3town. This pack is an homage to the game's multiplayer map, Nuketown.

This free DLC pack, which was recently announced, adds to the list of perks already available for the game as part of the Loyalty Personalization Pack. While the Loyalty Pack is accessible after players link their other "Call of Duty" accounts in "Black Ops 2," "Ghosts" or "Advanced Warfare" in order to get free in-game items for "Black Ops 3," the Nuk3town DLC comes free every preorder.

The content pack includes the multiplayer map and is said to also include a Nuk3town-themed calling card, camouflage for weapons and three weapon reticles. This offer however is not exclusive to GameStop, so buyers may also avail of it from other retailers.

The map first appeared in the first "Black Ops" game in 2010. In 2012, it reappeared in the second "Black Ops" game, this time with the name Nuketown 2025. In the "Black Ops Declassified" game, it came by the name Nukehouse. Once again in "Black Ops 3," it is renamed to Nuk3town.

Nuk3town will only be available for current-generation platforms and PC however, leaving behind the last-generation consoles. This is the same with the upcoming single-player campaign of the game, which because of technical limitations will only be coming to the newer platforms.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" is expected to run at 60 frames per second on the Xbox One, the PS4 and the PC. Older console owners would have to be content with the game running on 30 frames per second only.
