'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Awakening DLC: New Trailer Teases 'Skyjacked' DLC Map

Video game publisher Activision has teased "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" fans with a new trailer for the game's upcoming Awakening DLC. The video previews one of the maps included in the expansion pack.

The new trailer (below) was posted to "Call of Duty's" YouTube channel on Friday, Jan. 22. It shows a short footage featuring the new map Skyjacked. Confirming previous rumors, the map is a remake of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's" Hijacked map, taking the high-end yacht out of the seven seas and turning it into a futuristic flying ship hovering over urban Zurich.

As mentioned, Skyjacked is part of the upcoming Awakening DLC, which features four new multiplayer maps. In addition to Skyjacked, the expansion pack includes Rise, Splash, and Gauntlet maps. Based on a promotional image (above) for the DLC, Rise appears to be set in a large construction zone covered in snow, Splash in a water park complete with pools and slides, and Gauntlet looks to be set in several or randomly selected biomes.

The game's first DLC pack also includes a bonus, a brand-new chapter of "Black Ops 3's" zombie saga Der Eisendrache. The new chapter continues where The Giant left off.

Announced last month during the PlayStation Experience in San Francisco, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's" Awakening DLC will finally be available to Sony's PlayStation 4 on Feb. 2. It's the first of four expansion packs that are scheduled to release first on the PS4 as part of an exclusivity deal between Activision and Sony. The map pack is expected to be available to other platforms after 30 days or one month. However, Activision has not yet announced a specific release date of the game on other platforms, but it is expected to come to Microsoft's Xbox One and 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
