'Call of Duty: WWII' Multiplayer Beta on PC to Arrive Soon; Devs Reveal System Requirements
"Call of Duty: WWII" developer Sledgehammer Games recently announced that the title's PC beta will be going live soon and revealed its PC system requirements.
In an official statement, Sledgehammer Games confirmed that "Call of Duty: WWII's" multiplayer game mode will be available for an open beta testing that will go live before the month ends for everyone using the PC.
Fans and players of the franchise can access the multiplayer open beta through Steam starting on Sept. 29 through Oct. 2. It is unclear whether there will be a second week of beta testing on PC just like what Sledgehammer Games did for the console version of the game.
The minimum PC system requirements for "Call of Duty: WWII" has also been revealed. Participating players must have a PC running with at least Windows 7 64-bit, an Intel Core i3-3225, 8 GB RAM and free 25 GB drive space.
The game will also require at least 2 GB of dedicated video memory from graphic cards like Nvidia GeForce GTX 660, AMD Radeon HD 7850 or better. The computer should also have the video and sound cards that are compatible with DirectX version 11.0. Lastly, the game will require a stable internet connection to play.
Meanwhile, Sledgehammer Games reminded gamers that the content to be featured in the upcoming beta on PC "is just a small part of the full Call of Duty: WWII Multiplayer experience."
The developer reiterated that the open PC beta testing "is a critical step on our road to delivering the best possible online experience on Steam at launch in November."
With the upcoming open PC beta testing, Sledgehammer Games' objectives are to "stress test core gameplay systems and online backend infrastructure at scale" and polish the game for its final release in November based on players' hands-on experience and feedback.
"Call of Duty: WWII" will be officially released on Friday, Nov. 3, on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
