Previously, it has been teased that "Call of Duty: WWII" will feature a new protagonist. Ronald "Red" Daniels is a 19-year-old private who will first see action outside Texas. Bret Robbins, the creative director at Sledgehammer, has said in an interview that Daniels would be different from the "gruff, hardass types" like Captain John Price and Captain John "Soap" MacTavish. He will struggle a lot to stay alive.

"There are absolutely stretches of it in different levels where it's just sheerly about survival. We didn't want it to feel exclusively, you know, 'If I just shoot enough people I can get through this experience.' Because these guys weren't professional soldiers, remember that. They ended up becoming superhuman purely because of the things they had to go through," Robbins said

"Call of Duty: WWII" launches on Nov. 3 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
