Camille Grammer Quits 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'
"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Camille Grammer has announced that she will not be returning to the reality series after negotiations fell through last week.
"I didn't want to expose my personal life so much anymore," explained the 43-year-old in a statement. "I had done that and was over that. I care very much for my family and children and that show tends to take me away from them. I really want to focus on them right now."
Rumors had surfaced that the Bravo network star had been fired from the show, but she claims it was a "personal decision."
Of future projects, the former model said more reality television is not out of the question.
"We'll see. I don't know. All things are possible," said Grammer. "There's stuff I can't talk about this minute. Reality is a possibility but all things are possible. I'm in a really good place and I'm all about my family."
Grammer recently underwent a public divorce as well as ugly legal battles with ex-husband Kelsey Grammer over their two children. Kelsey has since married Kayte Walsh, who is now expecting twins.
Grammer admitted that she will miss her "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" co-stars- Kyle and Kim Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Adrienne Maloof, Taylor Armstrong, and Brandi Glanville.
"I've had so much fun with the franchise, but I guess the producers and I couldn't come to an agreement," divulged Grammer.
According to a source close to Grammer, the reality television star is happy with her departure.
"She's been in discussions and at the end decided she wasn't willing to expose her personal life anymore," said the insider, according to The Hollywood Life. "She's at peace with her decision. She's in a great place in her life right now."
The source explained that Grammer grew a lot over the past year during the divorce and made "wonderful friendships" on the show.
"It has steered her life in a direction she never imagined," said the insider. "She's ready for new challenges."
