Candace Cameron Bure Birthday Celebrated With Stars From '90s TV
Former "Full House" star Candace Cameron Bure turned 38 on Sunday, April 6, and celebrated with some faces familiar to the 90s era of TV. The "Dancing With the Stars" competitor was joined by co-star Lori Loughlin, as well as Tamera Mowry and Danica McKellar for the party held at the Riviera 31 in the Hotel Sofitel in Hollywood.
It was a rare night off for the mother of three and "DWTS" competitor. She enjoyed a nice meal with her friends as well as husband Valeri and children Natasha, Lev, and Maksim on Monday, April 7. The TV star decided to celebrate in style and with those she held dearest.
"They looked like the perfect family," an eyewitness said of Bure and Valeri. "You can tell how in love Candace and Valeri are." The children were "well-mannered and stayed together" while Bure welcomed her guests, the witness told Us Weekly.
Bure has made no secret of her friendship with McKellar, who is also her competition on "DWTS." The two grew up on-screen together and remained friends even after their respective shows ended. Both have gone on to have successful careers both on- and off-screen. McKellar has written to inspire girls to be interested in math and science, while Bure has become an author for mothers and women.
Loughlin and Mowry appeared in the audience of "DWTS" before attending the birthday bash. They have been supportive of Bure while she's been on the show, cheering her on from the sidelines and on social media as well.
"[Lori] has been a huge supporter – tweeteing for me and rallying for votes!" Bure told Us Weekly. "And my friend Tamara Mowry was here, too. So she's doing the same thing."
Mowry starred with her twin sister Tia on "Sister, Sister." The two later appeared in a reality series for Style Network entitled "Tia & Tamera." The Mowry sisters' younger brother was featured on "Full House" in a smaller role, which formed yet another tie to Bure.
"We had a family dinner with my kids and husband and two girlfriends," Bure told Us of her celebration on her actual birthday, Sunday. "Then we had a dance party in my living room for an hour! It was so much fun."
