Candace Cameron Bure appears to be loosening up a little bit in order to remain on "Dancing With the Stars." The woman who once said that she would not be a "sexy girl" on the series has now done two routines that have raised eyebrows from fans and judges alike. Bure insists, though, that she is merely playing a character.

"Being the sexy girl isn't inherently me," Bure told the cameras before her performance with partner Mark Ballas, "but I've played the sexy girl on TV before. So I'm just gonna think of it as another character."

After the couple performed a cha cha to Icona Pop's "I Love It," Bure was singled out for her dance moves and appearance.

"The thing is, you're sexy … You just don't know it," judge Bruno Tonioli said.

Last week, Bure dressed as Ariel from Disney's The Little Mermaid, and the costume was quite different than what she had previously said she would wear during the competition. That did not stop her from having a great time and enjoying the thrill of performing.

"It was really fun, and I think I felt a freedom in that," Bure told Us Weekly. "I was totally playing a character! I wasn't Candace – I was playing Ariel."

"If there were one week that I could take my conservative walls down a little bit, this would be it," she also told the show's costumers. "Because it's Ariel, I'll try to live up to the cartoon."

When Bure started the competition, she made certain that everyone, including Ballas, knew there were things she simply would not do during the show, and one of those things included being a "sexy girl."

"The two most important things in my life are my faith and my family and I know that this is what is going to get me through this competition," Bure told Ballas. "I'm not gonna be your sexy girl; I'm a mom of three kids so I want to look good and feel beautiful, but I will probably stay on the more modest end of costuming."

After the cha cha, Bure and Ballas were once again in jeopardy of being eliminated from the competition, but instead, Drew Carey and Chery Burke were the ones to go home.
