Candace Cameron Bure is still competing on "Dancing With the Stars" but says she never expected to make it past week six. The former "Full House" actress deemed herself the "dark horse" of the competition and said she thinks her biggest competition is Meryl Davis.

"Apparently I'm a perfectionist, which I didn't know before," Bure told People magazine. "I guess I have some perfectionistic qualities when it comes to my own performance. I'm learning to lower my expectations as far as having unrealistic expectations of myself."

Last week Bure and dancing partner Mark Ballas saw the show's psychologist because Bure felt she was letting Ballas down every week and holding him back. The psychologist offered some advice as to how she could relax and enjoy the competition while trusting that Ballas was not disappointed in his partner.

"I'm thrilled to death to have made it through to week eight," Bure said. "My personal goal was week six, so I am pumped! After next week is the semi-finals, so of course I would love to make it through to the end, but I'm kind of laughing, because if I do make it, I know that I'm the dark horse in the race."

Right now the following competitors remain: Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy; Amy Purdy and Derek Hough; Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy; Charlie White and Sharna Burgess; James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd; Nene Leakes and Tony Dovolani; and Bure and Ballas.

During the last episode, Davis and Chmerkovskiy earned a perfect score of 40 for their dance to "I Feel So Close to You Right Now." Bure and Ballas, meanwhile, have been in the bottom three several times and have only narrowly escaped being eliminated from the series. Who does Bure think is her biggest competitor?

"Meryl Davis is just killing it every single week, and she's just amazing to watch," Bure said.

"Dancing With the Stars" airs Monday nights on ABC.
