Candace Cameron Bure Workout Regime Revealed - Actress Works Out With 'Full House' Co-Star Kimmy Gibler
Candace Cameron Bure is doing well on the new season of "Dancing With the Stars," receiving praise from fans and judges alike. Now, she has revealed her special workout routine, plus the fact that she works out with a former "Full House" co-star.
Who is it? Read on to find out.
"I work out four to five days a week," Bure told Us Weekly. "I lift heavy weights, that's what I enjoy doing to keep building muscle. My cardio is minimal, which made it a little harder for the jive. That was a challenge for me because, as great shape as I'm in, I'm not in great cardio shape. I like strength and power moves, and I like running races."
Bure is planning to run a marathon alongside Andrea Barber, who played her best friend "Kimmy Gibler" on "Full House" and has remained a life-long friend. The two often work out together and manage to squeeze in marathons whenever possible.
"We ran several races together! She runs marathons! I run shorter races, like 5K or 10K races, but with obstacles in them like Tough Mudder or a Spartan Race because I like the strength stuff and she likes long distances. Now that she's run a couple races with me, she's dragging me into doing a marathon. So I will be running a marathon at some point with Andrea," Bure bragged.
Barber was there for the last episode of "DWTS" along with co-stars Lori Loughlin ("Aunt Becky") and Scott Weinger ("Steve"). The trio showed up to support Bure as she danced a tribute to the series. She chose 1995 as her most memorable year because it was the year that "Full House" ended and she became pregnant with her first child.
"It was great," Bure told E! News. "We've been friends since the debut of the show, so all of these years … anyone that follows me on Instagram or Facebook knows that Kimmy Gibler and Deej are still best friends. So it was great that Andrea and Scott were here tonight!"
"Dancing With the Stars" airs Monday nights on ABC.
