A Japanese website called Nokishita posted two photos of the upcoming Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM lens. The specs of the zoom lens were also posted along with the images. In the leaked photos, the digital info display is noticeable above the Canon logo, along the base of the lens.

The first rumors of the digital info display dates back to July of this year. Canon was said to incorporate the display on their new lenses, similar to what Zeiss Batis lineup of lenses currently showcase.

These Zeiss lenses were recognized as the first lenses in the world to sport OLED displays when they were launched in April. The display shows the focus distance and information on depth-of-field. They are also backlit, so users can still perform in total darkness. The new Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM lens is expected to pack the same features at the very least.

The upcoming zoom lens will also feature the new Nano USM technology, which was first introduced in the EF-S 18–135mm f/3.5–5.6 IS USM lens. This innovation would cater mainly to those who will be using the lens in video work. It will allow for a faster and more accurate focusing functions, along with a quieter motor.

It will also feature 17 elements in 12 groups, with a full-time manual focus. There are also 9 circular aperture blades, and the minimum focusing distance is 1.2 meters. There is also a maximum magnification of 0.24x and 0.07x at 300mm and 70mm, respectively. Being an IS-capable lens, there is a 4-stop image stabilizer. The filter diameter is 67mm, and its weight is around 710 grams.

Canon EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM

Canon's mirrorless lineup will also be getting a new lens, in the form of the Canon EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM. Images of this upcoming lens were also published by Nokishita.

The zoom lens will have black and silver variants, and will sport 17 elements in 13 groups. The stepping motor is also present, hence the STM moniker, as well as a full-time manual focus. It will also have 7 circular aperture blades, a 4-stop image stabilization technology, and a filter diameter of 55mm.
