'Captain America: Civil War' Movie Update: Spiderman Gets 30 Minutes of Exposure in the Movie, Gets Dubbed as Scene Stealer

While it is true that "Captain America: Civil War" will highlight the battle of two teams of superheroes that are led by Captain America and Iron Man, fans of Spiderman can expect that their favorite superhero can get a good amount of exposure in the movie. According to some members of the press who have been privileged to witness the advanced screening of the film, Tom Holland graces the screen for almost 30 minutes, 20 minutes of which as his Spiderman character and the remaining 10 minutes as the superhero's alter-ego, Peter Parker.

It can be recalled that the official inclusion of Holland's character in the movie was announced late. Although Marvel fans were aware that Spiderman would be part of "Captain America: Civil War," they could only suspect that he would play a cameo role. However, with the reported amount of screen time that he gets in the movie, fans of the character can only hope that it bodes well for his bigger significance in the movie.

Many who have seen the movie in advance have claimed that Spiderman is a scene-stealer in the movie. Should this be true, once the movie is released in the theaters, he might just get the same reaction that Gal Gadot got from the moviegoers when her character as Wonder Woman debuts on the big screen via "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," getting the applause and gets dubbed as the show-stealer. According to Screen Rant, this is a good start for the reboot of the character, much more that Spiderman will be back on the big screen via his solo film in 2017.

Apart from impressing the audience with Spiderman's presence in the movie, "Captain America: Civil War" has been generating positive reviews about the film on the whole, too, thanks to the film's way of handling complex thematic and emotional material and convincing portrayal of the characters involved in it. With these reports, it can only be speculated if the opinion of the critics will jibe with those of the regular moviegoers.

"Captain America: Civil War" stars Chris Evans in the titular role and Robert Downey, Jr. as Iron Man. It hits the U.S. theaters on May 6.
