'Captain America: Civil War' Release Date: New Promo Art Hints At Battle Between 'Avengers'

Fans have just a couple of months to wait before the biggest battle in Marvel history hits the big screens, and with the newest promo art released by the film and comics giant's artists, it only means there's no turning back on the war.

Marvel concept artists Andy Park and Ryan Meinerding released photos of the "Avengers" in battle, with some close-up images that don't really help quench the excitement.

In one of his Instagram photos, Park wrote, "What a challenge this was! This movie is going to knock people's socks off! Can't wait!" He also noted that he was able to work on the concept design for all the characters' looks in their film appearances, save but one which is "Iron Man 2."

One of Park's images shows Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) with her fierce look seemingly ready to attack Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), while Agent Clint Barton, a.k.a Hawkeye, (Jeremy Renner) is also prepped for the battle with his bow and arrow ready to aim. It is unclear who he will be fighting against since he isn't specifically aiming the arrow at an enemy.

Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a Scarlet Witch, (Elizabeth Olsen) is seen exchanging a powerful attack with Vision (Paul Bettany) and it seems an explosion will follow, knowing that Scarlet Witch's fiery power is going against Vision's energy of light.

Meinerding posted the entire promo art image that showed all of the heroes fighting. On the lower right of the photo is Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) appearing to be in a boxing match against the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). On the upper right, Falcon (Anthony Mackie) is hot on the heels of War Machine (Don Cheadle), who fires back with his strong armor, courtesy of Tony Stark.

Finally, in the middle of the superhero battle is none other than Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans) who are obviously opting for a fist fight and determined to make the other submit.

At the moment, it is unclear how the superheroes' issues against each other will be resolved, but fans will just have to wait when the movie releases on May 6, to find out if peace will be restored or if the inevitable war will go on for ages.
