"Captain America: The Winter Soldier" received its second bit of promotion when a promo poster for the movie was unveiled yesterday.
In the poster, Captain America is seen looking out the back of a plane, and down at Washington DC as it appears he is preparing to jump out.
"You ready, troops? The official Marvel's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" poster is here. Watch the teaser trailer in just two days, exclusively on iTunes Trailers," read the caption on the official Facebook.
A teaser trailer for the movie will be released on iTunes at 9 a.m. PDT reports the LA Times.
The movie is slated for an April 4, 2014 release, and will follow the comic book arc of the same name, by Ed Brubaker.
This next movie will build off of Steve Rogers, the Captains real name, and how he adjusts to being a hero in a new world.
"He's still trying to acclimate," the actor behind the suit, Chris Evans, said at the film's D23 presentation. "It's more about trying to get used to the way the world is now in terms of society and politics."
According to MTV, this movie takes place after the events of the Avengers movie, and he will be teaming up with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) once again. The new enemy is, The Winter Soldier.
The first promo poster for the film was released back in April, and featured a battered Captain America shield, suggesting he was going to be seeing some serious battle time in the film.
76 year-old film veteran, Robert Redford, will be making his debut in a superhero movie and is excited to do so.
"I like the idea of stepping into new territory. I'm excited by it. I also think it's a good bunch of people who really know what they're doing," he said to the LA Times. "I think these films are really powerful. I think they're great. This is the kind of film I would have loved to see as a kid."
Also coming soon in the Marvel/Disney partnership is Thor: The Dark World.
