Carly Rae Jepsen Album Release Date Around Justin Bieber 'Believe' Tour
Carly Rae Jepsen, the "Call Me Maybe" hit maker, recently announced that her debut album, "Kiss," will be in stores and on iTunes on Sept. 18, around the same time that she accompanies Justin Bieber on his "Believe" tour.
The 26-year-old Canadian pop star is currently signed to Schoolboy Records, the same label that Bieber is signed to, and her debut album will be released via 604 Records/Schoolboy Records/Interscope Records, according to a statement on her personal website.
"These are lyric and song ideas that I have been collecting over the years. I can't tell you how lucky I feel to be able to collaborate with some of my dream producers," Jepsen said via the same statement.

"It has been the most fulfilling experience. The record is pop. It's inspired by Robyn, The Cars, Madonna and believe it or not, James Taylor. I can't wait to share it with everyone! Kiss," she added.
Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" song has sold over 7.3 million singles worldwide and has spent eight weeks at No. 1 on US pop charts. The singer is rumored to have collaborated with Bieber, 18, on at least one song off of the upcoming album but says that she was "sworn to secrecy" about the track.
Jepsen will perform as an opening act for Bieber, who is arguably one of the most polarizing stars in pop music, during his 2012 headlining tour of North America. She recently spoke out about the upcoming gig.
"I don't know what to expect. I did one or two shows with Justin. One in London and one in Mexico City, and all I can say is, like, 'Wow.' They were huge - 300,000 people in Mexico City. I was speechless," Jepsen told MTV News.
"[How do you] take it in? I don't know that I totally do. I think that like in 10 years' time I'm gonna sit back and look at everything that's happening to me this year and actually have a 'whoa' kind of a moment. Right now everything's so fast and the pace of it so quick that I'm just kind of keeping my head to the ground and trying to do the best at getting through it," she added.
