Carmelo Anthony Trade: Why He Wants to Leave the Knicks
Carmelo Anthony recently expressed that he wants to be traded from the New York Knicks before Thursday's National Basketball Association trade deadline according to new reports.
The Knicks' small forward has reportedly become increasingly frustrated with team coach Mike D'Antoni and interim general manager Glen Grunwald since Monday night's loss to the Chicago Bulls, according to The New York Post.
Anthony reportedly does not feel trusted by the Knicks organization, and would ultimately like to have more input on personnel decisions.

"The organization makes believe his opinions don't matter,'' a source told The Post.
Despite his growing discontent, the Knicks' leading scorer will reportedly not make a formal trade request.
After the Bulls' recent 104-99 victory over the Knicks, it was revealed that Anthony wanted assurance that D'Antoni would not be returning next season.
He had allegedly been told that D'Antoni would not return for this season after the Knicks were swept out of the playoffs by the Celtics last April.
Anthony was traded from the Denver Nuggets last year in a multi-player deal also involving the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Since Anthony returned after his groin injury the Knicks have lost eight of 10 games, forcing a tie with the Milwaukee Bucks for eighth place in the Eastern Conference at 18-24.
Although Anthony and D'Antoni met on Tuesday, it is believed that the two rarely communicate and the 27-year-old only gets along well with assistant GM Allan Houston, who could replace Grunwald.
"[Anthony] knows Glen doesn't like him,'' the source explained.
It was also revealed that Anthony's friendship with his teammate, Amare Stoudemire, fizzled out after Anthony's traded last February.
"They're not as close as people think they are. It's an awkward relationship," the source said about Anthony and the power forward and acting center.
In response to questions from the press about Anthony appearing frustrated on the court during Monday night's match against the Bulls, D'Antoni brushed off the question.
"More than normal, you mean? I don't know. You'll have to ask him," said the coach.
