The Saints have looked a bit out of sorts in recent weeks and even in their Week 12 clash against a struggling Atlanta Falcons team, they limped over the line to just about win 17-13.

The Panthers come into this clash full of confidence, with Ron Rivera saying that he believes the Saints are very much beatable following their blowout loss to the Seahawks last week.

Drew Brees and the Saints have had a torrid week; their plane broke down and the team was stuck in Seattle until Tuesday following their beatdown from the Seahawks. Things will be infinitely worse if they lose today against the Panthers though.

Brees will have to be at his best tonight if they are to claim the win. He is 323 of 477 for 3,794 yards and 29 touchdowns. His favorite target man has been Jimmy Graham who has gone 988 yards on 68 receives for 12 touchdowns.

The Saints have the third best pass offense in the league, claiming 302.8 yards in the air per game.

Meanwhile, the Panthers are on an 8 game win streak coming into this clash. In recent weeks they have defeated the New England Patriots 24-20, and the San Francisco 49ers 10-9. They consolidated those wins with victories against the Miami Dolphins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and will be confident that if they were to take down the Saints, now is the best time for them.

Cam Newton is 226 of 366 for 2,616 yards and 19 touchdowns. He has used DeAngelo Williams to smash holes through opposition defenses this year. Williams has gone 610 yards on 151 carries for an average gain of 4 yards and 2 touchdowns. Newton has not been afraid to run the ball himself though, and he has gone 447 yards on 82 carries and 6 touchdowns.

Today's clash will have huge implications on the NFC South, and it should be an extremely entertaining clash for all NFL fans.
