However, they are heading up against the Panthers' squad that went 15-1 in the season behind the stellar play of both the offense and the defense led by quarterback Cam Newton. A win over the Seahawks will prove to be a big step forward in their dream season.
Carolina had an extra week to rest as they had an automatic spot in the Divisional Playoff, while the Seahawks had to battle the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card to get their spot.
Seattle won 10-9 and are looking for another gritty game to help them pull through to face their division rivals, the Cardinals.
The two teams already met earlier in the season, with the Seahawks having home advantage as they played at the CenturyLink Field in front of over 69,000 fans.
And they had a slim lead after the first quarter as they were separated by a field goal.
Both teams scored a touchdown in the second quarter keeping Seattle's lead at three, 10-7, as the Seahawks found another gear in the third.
They were able to extend the lead to six points to try and control the Panthers, but Cam Newton and the rest of the team would not give up.
They outscored the Seahawks by 10 in the final frame to eventually take the game 27-23 and they are hoping for the same outcome in this coming clash.
