Carrie Underwood Joins Almay, Shares Photos
Carrie Underwood is the latest celebrity to join a major makeup brand as an ambassador this week.
On Tuesday, Jan. 21, the singer announced her partnership with Almay via Twitter.
"Very excited to join #Almay as a Global Brand Ambassador! #Almay #smartshade," Underwood wrote along with a photo taken from the shoot.
Almay is a cosmetics brand owned by Revlon that uses hypoallergenic ingredients in their products. In 2010, Kate Hudson was named the new spokesmodel for the brand.
This week, Underwood is following in Hudson's footprints in promoting Almay.
"I believe that every woman is amazing and unique in her own way," the singer explained of joining Almay, according to People.com. "So to me, the role of a makeup brand should be to inspire and help women enhance themselves and have fun with makeup, not transform them into something they're not."
"That's why I'm so excited to become an Almay Global Brand Ambassador," she added. "Not only do they share my perspective on authentic beauty, but they also have amazing products that are fun, versatile and easy to use."
Underwood shared photos from the Almay shoot that featured her in a comfortable pale sweater and white jeans wearing glowing, barely-there makeup and a broad smile.
"There's really something for everyone and every occasion- whether you want to get that perfect 'no-make-up look' or create a fun, amped up date night smoky eye," Underwood continued of her favorite Almay products.
Alternately, Almay "could not be more excited" for the "Jesus Take the Wheel" singer to join their team.
"Carrie embraces Almay's approach to beauty and products," said Julia Goldin, the global chief marketing officer of Revlon, in a statement. "Despite her enormous success, she is still a real girl from Oklahoma at the core and a self-professed makeup junkie who likes to try out new makeup looks in her spare time."
