Carrie Underwood Silences Divorce Rumors, Shares Videos on Vacation With Mike Fisher
Carrie Underwood quelled all rumors of a divorce from Mike Fisher with photos taken from their tropical vacation this week.
The "Blown Away" singer has been married to Fisher for four years, but recent reports speculated that the couple's marriage had hit the rocks. Notwithstanding, Underwood posted photos with her husband during a tropical vacation together, abating rumors of a split.
"Good landing…" the 30-year-old singer wrote in the caption of a video posted to Instagram featuring Fisher who jumped from a cliff into the sand beside crystal blue waters.
Shortly thereafter, Underwood added another video with the caption "Bad landing." The post featured the singer herself making the same leap as her hockey star husband, but with a far less graceful landing. Fortunately, Underwood was uninjured and laughing in the clip afterward.
Meanwhile, reports last month suggested that Underwood's hectic schedule was causing problems in her marriage.
"Mike is fuming," a source told Star magazine. "Carrie is thrilled about all the opportunities, but she's very conflicted and confused. She and Mike are barely speaking. Between his schedule with the Nashville Predators and her rehearsals, they barely saw each other the last three months. When they did steal some time alone, Carrie was wiped out physically and emotionally. The ordeal left Mike feeling neglected and ignored."
Despite rumors of a split, it is believed that Underwood and Fisher remain centered in their Christian faith, and therefore committed to their marriage. The singer previously admitted that her marriage is paramount to her career.
"He knows [performing] is what I love, and he completely supports me in it, as I do him," Underwood explained of Fisher while speaking to People magazine. "But if Mike ever told me he needed me to quit, I'd quit. When you make that promise to somebody and you stand before God and your family and friends, you've got to do everything that you possibly can to make that work."
