Casey Anthony Latest News: Attorneys for 'Zanny the Nanny' Want Anthony to Talk

Zenaida Gonzalez's attorneys filed a motion for a protective order to stop the deposition of Gonzalez until Casey Anthony answers questions on the defamation lawsuit filed against her.

Last week, Anthony took the Fifth Amendment roughly 60 times in the defamation trial.

Anthony claimed "Zanny Gonzalez," also known as "Zanny the Nanny" kidnapped her daughter Caylee. Anthony upheld the claim for three years until her attorney said the nanny never existed.

"Casey Anthony has avoided questioning for an extraordinary period of time by raising the Fifth Amendment as a shield," said attorneys for Gonzalez in the motion. "Now that the criminal trial is over, Casey Anthony is still stonewalling."

The motion also claimed Anthony is using the Fifth Amendment "as a sword, by trying to leapfrog in front of Zenaida Gonzalez in the deposition process."

Gonzalez's attorneys, Keith Mitnik and John Morgan, said it is unfair Anthony will not answer questions.

"Casey Anthony should not gain an advantage by refusing to answer questions...In other words, she should not be able to delay answering questions posed to her until after she hears what Zenaida Gonzalez has to say,” contended Gonzalez’s lawyers.

Anthony's legal team set the deposition date for Nov. 22.

In July, Anthony was found not guilty in the murder of her 2-year old daughter Caylee. The case garnered national attention.

Caylee went missing in July 2008. Her remains were found five months later near her east Orange County home. Anthony did not report Caylee missing for 31 days.

In the following days after Anthony reported Caylee missing, she gave false statements to law enforcement and it was discovered that she had been partying in the days following her daughter’s disappearance.

Last week, Anthony met with her probation officer for her monthly meeting. The report revealed Anthony has yet to find a job and has no income.
