Pressure of public opinion makes Anthony verge on mental breakdown
Public hatred for Casey Anthony, who was acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, may result in her nervous breakdown and recovery time in a psychiatric ward close friends said.
Following her highly publicized and dynamic trial concerning Caylee’s death, the public has formed many opinions of Casey Anthony.
Some critics saw Anthony as a compulsive liar who manipulated the jury into finding her “not guilty."

Casey Anthony mislead investigators – producing a long string of lies, which included a fictitious nanny named Zanny and lying about her employment at Universal Studios.
She was acquitted of the murder charges on July 5, 2011.
“A snake charmer,” CNN’s Nancy Grace called her.
After Anthony’s somewhat apathetic disposition to Caylee’s death, demonstrated by the 31 days it took to report her daughter’s absence, some considered her a sociopath. And believed she lacked the ability to make morally correct decisions.
However, some have taken a sympathetic approach to Anthony’s case, attributing her lies and poor decision making to her past as a victim of sexual abuse by her father, George Anthony.
This was an accusation that he has vehemently denied.
Regardless the varying public opinion, close friends of Anthony claimed the adamant belief that she killed Caylee was making her go crazy.
According to The Daily Mail, Anthony was now exhibiting several different personalities, “ranging from an angry, volatile victim vowing to get even with the world, to a child speaking in baby talk with her dead daughter Caylee and even back to her wild-child, partying persona.”
Post trial, Anthony had been seeing a therapist and recent photos showed her looking increasingly haggard and nervous – suggesting that she may in fact be on the verge of a mental breakdown.
Further stress could also be caused by the potential release of the videotape showing her reaction upon hearing the news that Caylee’s remains had been found.
The tape had been withheld from the murder trial, but now an Orlando, Fla., judge is determining the tape's release.
The release of this videotape could produce even more public outcry concerning Anthony’s guilt, thus making her spiral into further psychological distress.
Last Friday, Orange County Superior Court Chief Judge Belvin Perry ruled that Anthony owed $217,000 dollars in costs related to the investigation of Caylee’s disappearance and murder.
Anthony is currently serving probation for check fraud charges at an undisclosed location in Florida.
Some continue to have a negative opinion of her, while others plan to profit from her notoriety.
Anthony has received many offers from publishing companies urging her to tell her side of the story, including Hustler Magazine, which has asked her to pose in the upcoming fall issue for $500,000.
