Casey Anthony may turn one of her personal journals into a major book deal if she has her way, but many do not believe that an actual journal exists - yet.

It has been reported that Casey Anthony has been keeping a journal since her daughter was first reported missing in July of 2008. Nearing the end of a one year probation sentence in Florida, a new report has revealed that Anthony will now use that journal to make a book deal and earn income. Some however charge that the journal is complete fabrication.

"Casey has been keeping a journal and spends the majority of her days now writing," a source told Radar Online.

The source also stated that Anthony was attempting to sign a book deal for the sake of more income.

"Make no mistake, Casey will absolutely be releasing a book, it's just a matter of time. Casey feels this is the only way that she can get her story out and she feels that the public wants to hear from her," the source said. "Look, Casey has got bills to pay, she has to pay her lawyers. She has been unable to work for the past year, and she is counting on the book deal."

A proposed book deal however, with the intent to make Anthony more wealthy, will likely not be received well by the public; especially those who are convinced that Anthony murdered her two-year-old daughter. Anthony was acquitted of murder charges in 2011. Publishers, however, are cautious about any such book deal due to the controversy and anger still surrounding Anthony. The source has said that Anthony's offers were "lukewarm" at best due to her infamy.

"The big publishing houses fear the backlash from the public and aren't lining up to sign Casey. However, she isn't concerned about it and Casey feels that she will be able to find a publisher."

Some members of the public however, don't even believe that Anthony has been keeping a journal and are convinced that any book Anthony writes would be a complete fabrication.

"Really? She's been keeping a journal since her daughter disappeared?" Denise Weber questioned on a New York Post blog. "Does anyone really think this monster didn't go back and write something and will pretend she wrote it back then? I wouldn't buy s*** from her or her "counsel"...disgusting!"

"You will never make me believe this self-indulgent twit kept a journal from the time of her daughter's disappearance," Diane Thomas added.
