Casting Crowns Debuts New Album at Top of Billboard
Casting Crowns' new album Come to the Well debuted at the top of the charts.
It hit number one on the Billboard 200, one on the Billboard Christian chart, and three on the iTunes album chart. The band's fourth studio release sold 99138 copies in its opening week. Lead single off the album Courageous also reached one on the Christian Billboard giving them their second in number one hit in six months, with the last being "Glorious Day."
Casting Crowns has plenty of promotional help with sold out tour dates, lead singer Mark Hall's new book release, a lead feature in Billboard Magazine, an American Music Award nomination, a shout out from celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, and of course 2 million Facebook fans.
The band will embark on a 40-city tour, “Come To The Well”, in more promotion for the record. The album features 12 tracks. Casting Crowns will tour with fellow Christian artists Sanctus Real, The Afters, and Linsay McCaul.
Casting Crowns has sold 4.5 million records and has won a Grammy, 23 Dove Awards, and an American Music Award. The band has had eight charting singles.
