'Castle' Season 6 Spoilers: Tonight's Episode Takes 'A Very Big Step'

A new episode of ABC hit "Castle" airs tonight, and fans are eager to see what will happen to Alexis and the rest of the cast. To read spoilers from the actors and "Castle" creator about tonight's episode, read on.

Alexis has recently defied her father and moved in with Pi in an act of independence. Molly Quinn spoke about how she personally feels about that decision for her character.

"It breaks my heart! Having to say those things while looking at Nathan - and knowing how close we are - it really hurts. It hasn't been fun. As great as it is to grow as an actor and have a different story line, it's tough to look Captain Malcolm Reynolds in the eye and tell him he hasn't been a good dad," Quinn said in an interview with TV Guide.

Alexis has to ask her father for help to preserve a man's innocence in tonight's episode. How will this less than ideal pair work together? Quinn and show creator Andrew W Marlowe offer some insight into how the daughter and father work together.

"It is the most difficult thing for Alexis to 'man up' and go ask her father for help. But ... you see they're an awesome team. They know how to work together. And hopefully down the line, there will be some healing through that. But the main word is hopefully," Quinn said.

Andrew W Marlowe also weighed in on what to expect from Alexis's relationship with her father in tonight's episode.

"This episode will offer a good and very big step toward repairing the relationship. A lot of fundamental questions will be answered in terms of how they feel about each other and where their trust level is. And I think some other questions are going to be raised," he said.

Castle airs on Monday on ABC at 10/9c.
