'Castle' Season 7 Premiere Date: September 29, 2014 Sees Beckett Look for Castle (Sneak Peek)

"Castle," the crime drama television series airing on the ABC channel, will be airing its seventh season on Sept. 29. The story revolves around a best-selling mystery novelist Richard Castle and an NYPD homicide detective Kate Beckett.

The upcoming season will be picking up from where season six left, when Castle was involved in what seemed to be a fatal car crash - complete with the car bursting into flames. The event occurred unfortunately before Beckett and Castle's wedding day. The season six finale left fans somewhat hanging, looking for answers on whether Castle really died or not. It was revealed recently that Castle seemingly survives the car crash, since his body was not found in the wreckage.

Season 7 promises asnwers to questions that were left on everyone's minds at the end of the seventh season. The season's first episode entitled "Driven" already has a sneak peek video on YouTube. The video, however, is only a video recording of a television screen on which the episode is previewed.

It would seem that Beckett is trying to find traces of Castle after the accident occurred. In the video, she is seen entering with two other agents into the junkyard where Castle's car is expected to be impounded. However, as she locates Castle's car, it gets smashed and crunched into junk metal.

David Amann, the series showrunner explains to fans that by the time the second episode is out, they will have a firm grasp of what's going on after Castle's unexplained car crash and disappearance.

"It's a sufficient amount of resolution that the characters can move and get back to life as they knew it, but the effects of what happened to Castle will re-emerge and re-assert themselves later in the season," said Amann.
