CCF Assists Typhoon Victims in Philippines
Following recent devastating typhoons, which have left thousands homeless and hundreds dead in the Philippines, Christian Childrens Fund (CCF) has begun assisting children and families in Central and Southern Luzon, Cordillera and the Visayas regions.
Currently, CCF is working with the Philippines government to relocate families and to provide emergency relief including food, medicine, rice and canned goods in areas that are accessible.
CCF is also working closely with existing organizations to meet the material and emotional needs of children and families in addition to emergency health assistance. CCF will also provide assistance in terms of agricultural inputs to local farmers who lost their crops in the floods.
Initial assessments by CCF teams indicate that there has been significant damage to homes, properties, agricultural crops, and to local infrastructures. CCF staff will continue assessments as other provinces become passable.
