A companion book, CCM’s Top 100 Greatest Songs In Christian Music, published by Integrity Publishers, will be available for the holidays and will include intriguing details, interviews, facts and photos of each tribute song in the collection, providing context and insight into the song’s impact towards the history of Christian music and the many fans it has touched.

A new website, www.CCMTop100.com, was also launched this month to promote the series, featuring music downloads, video clips of interviews with participating artists, as well as facts about the growth of Christian music and artist testimonies.

“As we set out to compile the greatest songs in Christian music, we gained an appreciation for the wide variety of topics and styles Christian artists have produced -- from the Jesus Movement in the ‘70s to a post 9-11 world today,” said Roberta Croteau, associate publisher of CCM Magazine. “We also came to appreciate the deep connection of faith all these songs share, no matter the time or season in which they first were born. We hope our list will resonate with long-time Christian music fans, and cause new listeners to use these songs as a starting point to discover the great wealth Contemporary Christian music has to offer.”
