Cedar Point Accident: 7 Thrown From Water Ride at Cedar Point Amusement Park (VIDEO, PHOTO)
A Cedar Point accident has injured seven when a boat slid backwards down a ride and flipped over at the amusement park.
The incident at Cedar Point amusement park has stunned park goers, and took place when the ride malfunctioned on Friday.
The boat is said to have rolled backwards down a hill and flipped out, injuring all seven people in the ride at the time.

Operators quickly moved to stop the Shoot the Rapids water ride following the accident, officials have confirmed. Reports have described that the accident took place at the ride's first hill.
When the boat flipped over, park police officers, medical personnel and ride operators scrambled into the water to aid the injured riders.
Witnesses have reported to media that the boat flipped over onto its side and then upside down, although officials from the park have not publicly confirmed this yet.
One witness, Matthew Orr, told the Sandusky Register, "We jumped in and helped them get out. If we didn't help, I don't even know what would have happened."
Of the seven injured people from the incident, six were treated at the park before being released, however, another was more seriously injured and was taken to hospital for further medical assistance and evaluation. Later, reports confirmed that the hospitalized patient was also released.
According to the amusement park's website, the Shoot the Rapids ride "takes you up and splashes you down."
It further describes: "Shoot the Rapids feels like a real wild river adventure with canyons, a tunnel and something unexpected around every corner!"
The ride, which only opened in 2010, has now been closed until park and state inspectors investigate the cause of the incident and confirm that it is safe for public use again.
"The safety of our guests is our number one priority," Cedar Point said in a statement.
