Celebrities Who Support Donald Trump: Tim Allen Calls Hollywood Out for Being 'Hypocritical'
While not directly stating his support for President Donald Trump's administration, veteran comedian Tim Allen has expressed his disappointment in Hollywood's current political views during a recent appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
The comedian, who professed to enjoy "going on both sides" of the political spectrum, even likened the situation to '30s Germany, wherein a man could get beaten up for not siding with the majority.
"You gotta be real careful around here," Allen said.
Allen currently plays the role of Mike Baxter in the ABC comedy series "Last Man Standing" which is currently airing its sixth season. His character, much like himself, is known for being vocal about his political views and for shunning and rallying against political absurdities. Allen is also noted for being one of the few people in Hollywood who can openly and fearlessly talk about his right-leaning political beliefs.
During another interview with Megyn Kelly at the American Music Awards in November last year, the actor also expressed his concerns about Hollywood's inclination to bully the current President at each turn.
"What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn't like Trump because he was a bully, but if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump, you got bullied for doing that," Allen said, further adding that he viewed such attitudes as being hypocritical.
In yet another interview with The Hollywood Reporter in January 2016, Allen has also emphasized the importance of what a president can do rather than on which side he belongs to.
Allen also said that he was not opposed to anyone who could match his bad raps with his workload, further adding that, "Whatever party is going to get us out of debt is my party."
Allen's show, "Last Man Standing" airs every Friday at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
