'Celebrity Big Brother 2015' – House sports the UK vs USA theme.
"Celebrity Big Brother 2015-UK vs USA" started airing on August 27 and excitement surrounding it is quite high. First, the theme garnered a lot of curiosity. Next came all the drama of who the housemates would be. And now, it's the newly designed house that seems to be the centre of attention.
Since the theme is UK vs USA, it was expected that the 'House' would have the motifs of both the countries recurring in the various items of furniture and in the design itself.
Reportedly, a team of reporters from the Mirror has had a look at the house and they have come away amazed.
The infamous bedroom of the Big Brother house is a riot of colours. Each bedspread has a huge pixelated 'Eye' design and eye-catching colours.
A Statue of Liberty pool, wallpaper with stars and stripes and Capitol House type wooden panelling will ensure that the American housemates don't ever feel homesick.
The new Diary Room seems to have Captain America's shield as its focal design with typical American 'Blue and Red' colours of the flag. The 'Chair' seemed to have shrunk and housemates might be a trifle uncomfortable sitting on it. Maybe that's the whole point.
The new kitchen and dining room is straight from the sets of 'Grease', the sofa has a cushion cover with a Union Jack on it.
The window panelling has Big Ben in the distance. It is sure to make the housemates feel as if they are staying right across it.
The lights on the red carpet, the blue semi-circular sofa and the ring-designed partitions all give a very 1980s look.
Host Rylan seems super excited to meet up with the American housemates and instead of a UK vs USA slant, he wants a UK Loves USA and vice versa theme.
He told Mirror TV: "We'd love a little transatlantic romance. That is the thing with CBB, we've started to see romances in the show. For you lot, that is very good."
And how is it to be in the eye of the Big Brother all the time? Rylan replied, "I took me about two days before I forgot about the cameras. It's best to forget about them. Unless you can fit in that hatch over there, you can't hide."
