Celina Cass' Grandfather Makes Plea for Closure, Says 'No Casey Anthony' Repeat

Wally Laro made a grief-filled plea for police to solve the case surrounding the suspicious death of his granddaughter Celina Cass, saying he didn't want a repeat of the Casey Anthony case.

Laro begs officials for an answer so family and friends are not left searching for answers, like those involved with the Caylee Anthony case.

"I just hope justice is brought and whoever's responsible gets the max because that little girl didn't deserve that," Laro told the Boston Herald on Wednesday.

"I don't want no Casey Anthony," he said.

Casey Anthony was acquitted of murdering her 2- year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony, last month. The verdict sparked nationwide feelings of surprise and outrage. Prosecutors charged the 25-year-old with knocking her daughter out with chloroform, suffocating her with duct tape and burying the body in the woods near the Anthony home. Defense lawyers argued that Caylee died in an accidental drowning in the family swimming pool.

Celina Cass’s autopsy, performed Tuesday, was inconclusive and “both the cause and manner of death are pending, said New Hampshire Senior Assistant Attorney General Jane Young.

Officials have searched Celina’s home in Stewartstown, New Hampshire, where they took into custody a silver Ford F150 pickup, on Wednesday. Investigators said that truck belongs to Celina’s stepfather, Wendell Noyes.

Noyes was involuntarily committed for schizophrenia and arrested for threatening an ex-girlfriend in 2003.

Police said there were no signs of a struggle inside Cass’s home and there was also no evidence that the 11-year-old ran away or was taken.

“Based on what we have seen visually, we are treating it as suspicious,” Young said.

Laro said, “rumors and speculation” are running amuck throughout the New Hampshire town, but he has faith in police and know they will figure out how she died.

“They brought an army up here to search for her. And I believe they will get to the bottom of this, because something’s wrong,” said Cass’s grandfather.

Last week officials seized a red pickup truck owned by a man who recently moved in with the family, reported the Boston Herald.

Celina Cass was last seen the night of July 25 in her Stewartstown home in New Hampshire. Officials later discovered her body in the Connecticut River less than a mile from her house. Cass’s death was ruled as suspicious and further autopsy and toxicology results are pending.

The FBI announced a $25,000 reward for any information that can help reveal the circumstances of Celina’s death. An anonymous member of the community also added an additional $5,000 dollars to the reward sum.

Anyone with information is asked to call New Hampshire State Police at 603-846-3333.
